Last week we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hiri Koiari District Development Authority – Hiri Koiari is a string of villages that surround Port Moresby.
The MOU outlines a mutual desire to work together for the development of the Hiri Koiari District, Central Province, including strengthening healthcare delivery, providing capacity building opportunities for local health workers, and delivering youth engagement initiatives.
Teams of healthcare professionals, youth work volunteers, and other key partners will be visiting communities in Hiri Koiari via two new patrol boats that are housed at our campus. The first outreach is planned for the end of March.
We are excited to be officially engaging in the province at both a government and grassroots level, and look forward to what’s to come in the area of health, and empowering young people!
The teams will visit Hiri Koiari in these new boats that have just come all the way from Norway! 👇
